About Little BEANS Therapy

Little BEANS Therapy is committed to meeting the therapy needs of every ability. I believe in working as a team with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to provide each child and young person with optimal opportunities for working towards their unique and individual goals: play, development and learning. I provide various services to bring function, growth and meaning to every individual, regardless of ability.

I am passionate about working with children and young people and believe that the journey of OT aims to bring all abilities to a place where they function in everyday life to the best of their ability. I use a developmental- and evidence-based approach for therapeutic intervention. I highly acknowledge a community’s involvement and aim to empower families, educators and other health professionals.

“I recognise that each child and young person needs an individual approach to their intervention plan, and I want to empower each individual, no matter their ability.”

Micah Law, Founder and specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Since obtaining my Occupational Therapy degree in 2013 from the University of Stellenbosch (in my native South Africa), I’ve worked in four different countries, which has enabled me to develop a wide variety of skills in working with various diagnoses, environments and cultures.

I now specialise in paediatric OT and have a Special Interest in Sensory Integration. I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, including mainstream- and special needs schools, a rural community hospital, private practice, homes, NHS and with local authority.

I work closely with families to encourage children and young people to gain independence at home and in the community. Playfulness is key, whilst I try to provide a holistic, child-centred therapeutic approach, building robust relationships with the family, teachers and other therapists.

I live with my Husband in a small village on the outskirts of Bath and outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family, friends and our dog, Snow. I enjoy travelling, exploring new places and learning about other cultures.
